Fairview will continue to participate in all Blue Cross networks
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and Fairview Health Services have reached an agreement for Fairview to continue its participation in all Blue Cross networks. The agreement includes both clinics and facilities, including hospitals, and is effective immediately.
This is great news for those of you who receive care from Fairview providers or facilities. You can continue your provider relationships and receive coverage at in-network benefit levels. It's that simple and there is nothing you need to do.
Your welfare and care is our top priority and we are delighted to announce that the agreement means no interruption in your health care. We want to assure you that we are committed to keeping health care accessible and affordable for all of our members and customers.

Fairview and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota reach contract agreement for clinics and hospitals
EAGAN, Minn. (Aug. 21, 2008) - Fairview and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota have reached an agreement on a contract that allows Fairview clinics to remain as participating providers in all of Blue Cross' provider networks. The Fairview clinic contract was set to expire at midnight on Friday, August 22, 2008. Agreement was also reached for the Fairview hospitals to remain as participating network hospitals with the Blue Cross network. The hospital contract was not set to expire until October 28, 2008. The contracts are in effect through the end of 2009.

We wanted to avoid any disruption in care for our patients and have been committed to finding a solution that allows us to make appropriate investments so we can continue to provide exceptional patient care and service," said Mark Eustis, President and CEO, Fairview. "We had many good and thoughtful discussions that helped us develop a mutually acceptable contract."
